Another trip down memory lane. This time to 2011 and tropical Cairns in north Queensland. It brings back memories of scuba diving on the outer Great Barrier Reef, a giant friendly Wrasse on the inner reef named Wally, white water rafting in flooded rivers (and being washed over and under and surfacing 100m downstream eventually, all part of the fun)
Ahh, the good old days ;)
Happy Wednesday !
Things of the sea (fossils/petrified coral) of all shapes and sizes
All need is some sand, sea, surf & barnacle-clad rocks to keep me happy. A camera helps too :)
Happy weekend everyone!
how I've fed the birds in winter and then I've got wild hemp plantations in summer 😈

He sat on a log intently staring into the leaves on the right. What, if anything, he saw, I could not determine.
This is an ancient mill on the city ramparts of Bremen. There used to be 6 of them on the ramparts - only one is left. And the name "Coffee Mill" (Kaffeemühle in German) refers to a café and restaurant in the mill.

I managed to get to Mote Park lake just in time to catch a few minutes of this early winter sunset - my first of this season. It was a very cold afternoon and the lake was frozen over as can be seen looking at the foreground.

Happy weekend everyone!
A real delight to see several wild Golden Jackals in the area.
They were extremely cautious though. If they saw movement or smelt you they would be off very quickly.
Upper Barrakka Gardens
Valletta Malta
Named the Upper Barrakka and the Lower Barrakka, both gardens offer a stunning view of the Grand Harbour.
The Upper Barrakka garden, especially, is a must. Built on top of a demi-bastion, both locals and foreigners relish spending hours taking in the sights. A number of statues and monuments adorn the gardens, including one dedicated to Winston Churchill.
