I thought I'd throw this dress on (I do love it!), slap on some lipstick ( putting lipstick on a pig comes to mind) and toss my hair around (didn't give a shit how it came out) and take some shots.

I've been MIA, however, I will be more active in the very near future.

Recuerdo cuando mi padre nos cogia a mi hermano Jorge y a mi, dejaba a mi madre con los chiquitines, ellos dormidos y mi pobre madre descansando…jajajaja, y muchos viernes por la noche ir a la iglesia de Santa Catalina a oír un concierto de coro, o un concierto de musica de cámara con pequeños cuartetos de cuerda o cuerda y viento. Mi padre amaba la música y si era en directo aun más, y también amaba la arquitectura y la Iglesia de Santa Catalina es magnifica. La verdad es que las primeras veces creo que no llegábamos a oír terminar el concierto, que llegásemos al primer descanso…jajajaja, pobre hombre, seguro que lo sacaríamos a la fuerza, pero como mi padre era muy astuto nos acostumbro a, si terminábamos el concierto, tomar un grandísimo tazón de chocolate calentito en la horchatería Santa Catalina (de las mas famosas de Valencia) y ahí es donde gano la partida…jajajaja.

Hoy por hoy, no se si a mí me gusta la música y he llegado a ella, a trabes del chocolate, chocolate que nos tomábamos con mi padre al terminar el concierto. Al final lo consiguió, consiguió que nos gustara la música y la arquitectura.

Bueno, como veis en este concierto del coro de mis amigos hubo un llenazo total, estuvo muy bien, hasta mi hijo Jorge que es el mas inquieto lo disfruto, era el concierto de navidad, siempre lo hacen en la sala grande del Palau de la Música de Valencia, hubieron villancicos y un poco de todo, además sorprendieron al ir acompañados de un grupo de jazz, creo, aunque no estoy seguro que se llamaban “el hijo del ebanista” y realizaron una fusión con ellos muy dinámica y vital, me pidieron que les hiciera unas fotos, y aquí os muestro algunas, he elegido las mas generales, ya sabéis, mis problemas con la arquitectura…jajajajjaja.

Siento que las fotos estén tan contrastadas, no se porque se empeñan en encender todos los focos del escenario y apagar la luz del resto de la sala…. tienen unas manías… jajajajjaja… y como yo de retoque lo justito nada mas… pues se ha quedado así.

A day off today, so I took my wife and the boys, Eddie (Jack Russell) and Dave (Dachshund) to the waterfall a few miles up the lane from Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant.

This is the lower third of the impressive waterfall in view, and a delightful place to visit, if you are ever in the area. Fortunately it is only 30 minutes drive from home, but this is the first time I've photographed it in earnest.

This is a three frame image, main layer 1/13th F8 with a focus stacked foreground, and 1/3rd exposure for the waterfall to smooth the flow.

I must have seen more than one hundred fritillaries on Saturday morning while birding a local park. This one settled down to provide a great view of brand new wings.

The title has more to do with state of mind than the flight of the butterfly. After 13 years, our middle daughter is moving back to California!! She spent one year in Washington, DC while in high school, 4 years in Baltimore as an undergraduate, 4 years in Virginia as a medical student and will have spent 4 years in Chicago as a Anesthesiology resident. She secured a Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship in southern California (not an easy feat) and will be returning with her husband in late June!!

After she texted a picture of her match-day placement, I ran around work like a grinning idiot for the next four hours., telling everyone who knew her.
