For our this years #BritArmyAndFriendsReunion @CosmicConEvent in Manchester on 06./07.June 2015 I decided to proceed with my tradition of creating a special design for our group and get it printed on badges and T-Shirts being worn and shared with others and posters to be signed by all of us.

Little did I know about how things would develop then:
During our holiday on Big Island / Hawai’i we met the incredibly talented Jon Lomberg and he gave us a private tour through one of his wonderful projects: #GalaxyGarden ( www.galaxygarden.net )
Jon is one of the world's most distinguished artists inspired by astronomy.
From 1972 until Carl Sagan's death in 1996, he illustrated most of Sagan's books and magazine articles, and he was Chief Artist for Sagan's classic television series. For his work on #COSMOS Jon received in 1981 a Prime Time EMMY Award for "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Creative Technical Crafts".
With the #VoyagerGoldenRecord Jon and his team have created some of the most unusual, durable, and far-flung artifacts ever produced by the human species.
The design for the cover of the Voyager Interstellar Record, predicted to last for over a thousand million years, may be the longest lived piece of human art ever made.
(Just typing this gives me goosebumps)

Meeting this great artist in person, whom I always deeply admired and whose work is breathtakingly beautiful and who is inspiring so many people all around our beautiful blue dot touched me deeply inside.
Jon’s work made history already decades ago and still is a fundamental part of #SpaceExploration of mankind.
Talking about many things like space, art and projects like his #GalaxyGarden etc. was amazing.
The latest project of Jon and his team is a crowdfunding campaign to create a self-portrait of humanity to send to the stars on NASA's #Pluto mission #NewHorizons.
This campaign is an invitation to all humans to join this amazing project and become part of our global message.

I fell in love with that campaign immediately, so after our meeting the idea of integrating the #VoyagerGoldenRecord2.0 in my design grew in me.
After completion I send my painting to Jon as I wanted to dedicate it to his project. His reply left me deeply touched and honored, reading that he loves it and would like to share it with his friends.
Like a friend lately said so perfectly:
"Heroes you admired appreciating your work…priceless."
I am delighted to say that my design now even includes a dedication of Jon himself, inviting all of us to #SpeakForEarth together.
And all of us can share our voice and thoughts and build a huge mosaic of our beautiful #BlueDot which then will be sent to #OuterSpace digitally in the near future by Jon's global team and I am curious to see how humankind defines itself these days and what kind of message we will leave in that time capsule - also for our future generations.
I feel like having received an invitaion to a #EndlessGlobalSpaceTweetup - #Spaceholix travelling through space and time TOGETHER.

Parking Enforcement patrol vehicle. Chevy Impala with traffic arrows inside.
Not sworn, unarmed officers who respond to non-life threatening calls. Their duties may include filing reports for stolen, found and missing property, stolen tags, respond and file reports for accidents, respond to fires, missing people calls, natural disasters and parking complaints, tow abandoned and disabled vehicles, community patrol and as support to field units for crowd control, traffic control, foreign language translation and any other duty as requested.
They do not have arrest powers but can summon for parking violations.
They also work special details for crowd control, security and parking enforcement, DUI checkpoints, funeral escorts, VIP escorts and can perform other duties if needed or requested.

Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Tim McGraw fan. I've been to countless concerts. Many up close and personal. These were the worst seats I've had in years. My concert neighbors were not friendly.
Here's my little "review of the nights events":
The weather held up for the Tim concert yesterday. That was about the only good thing (well besides actually seeing and hearing Tim of course). I swear in all the yrs I've gone to his concert this by far was the absolute worst; not because of him. First of all the venue stinks. It has the absolute worst parking lot ever. The sound was awful. It wasn't just LOUD it was unaudiable. Most of the words were muffled. Thank goodness I knows the lyrics/music. There were 4 stuck up party girls beside me. The girl right beside me was a hefty girl. Her one leg was equivalent to both of mine. When she did sit she was also in my sit. Not pleasant. She wore her purse on her shoulder and kept whacking me with it as she tried to dance all the while moving her arms around in my tiny space. The man beside me arrived late missing the opening acts. He talked on his cell for most of the show each time to answer or get it out of his shorts pocket he'd lean into me. He also had a huge flatulence problem. I swear I almost vomitted. Fart man also spilled his beer. It went all over my purse. I was not thrilled. There was a homosexual couple in front of me. They sat most of the show which I guess was a good thing because then I could see. I had horrible seats this show. The one man kept looking at his watch like is it over yet? If you're that bored and miserable stay home. The couple beside them; the guy was such a jerk. He toked up right in front of everyone. At first I wasn't sure but then I saw a plume of smoke and smelt it. Rude! Usually I can make friends with the people around me. Not so with this group. I swear I was around the worst group of drunken rednecks. Then there was the other couple a few rows ahead. They stood and danced if thats what you want to call it the entire night. He kept picking the girl up and holding her up in the air. They kissed hard core. He had his hands all over her most of the night. Get a room!! I couldn't find my friends I usually meet at the show. Bummer. Actually I ran into one. He was drunk by the time I found him. His face was red as were his eyes. I thought he had a sunburn. Apparently he had an allergic reaction to the beer he was drinking. Did that stop him from drinking? Of course not. When the show was over I couldn't find my car. There were a few moments when I honestly thought it was stolen and a wave of panic went through me. Finally I found my car. I got to it at 11:20. At 12:00 I was finally pulling out of the venues parking lot. Oh I almost forgot that on the way to the concert there was a major accident causing a huge traffic jam. The road was closed. Police redirected traffic. As I pulled onto the exit ramp to get onto Rt. 66 I saw cars coming at me in the emergeny lane. I was like HUH? So I quickly took that que and cut across the median grass and got back on the road and took a side road to get onto 66 further down. The trip that normally should have taken about 45 minutes was 1.5 hr long. Ok so I never ate before the show. I didn't have time and didn't feel like it. I figured I'd grab something at McDonald's drive-thru on the way home. So I pull into McDonalds complete famished and thirsty. No one is at the window. It was closed. UGH! Apparently they close at 12:30 on Sundays and I got there at 12:38. OMG I was so irritated. So I had a couple pretzels and a gatorade before bed. Not exactly filling. When I finally laid down it was 1:00 am. My ears were ringing. I've had close seats and been right on the speaker and never had ear problems before. It took me awhile to doze off. I swear when my alarm went off at 5:30 this morning I didn't want to wake up.
This very tatty butterfly was missing half a wing but was kind enough to pose in a such a way that the flower is hiding most of the damage! 03/08/2015

M CHIGAL1 06A flies through Romeoville, IL on BNSF’s Chilicothe Subdivision. Taking the lead on the journey to Galesburg is BNSF 524, a rebuilt B40-8WR. Lots of these units have been placed in indefinite storage, with many not likely to see the light of day again, so it’s nice to see one of these unique locomotives back out on the rails again.

A guitar whose neck is a woman's leg but whose big toe is missing. A (painted) hand paints a portrait on the soundboard. At the University of Kansas at Lawrence.
This fine view of meldehunde and their handler is missing in action. It is never going to be found. The German dealer sent it registered mail so it is not a problem with the dealer. The tracking trail ends in New York which is where the problem begins. The registered mail that does not arrive always seems to disappear in New York.

This is Alex. He attends Kingscliff High School. Alex has been missing since early Saturday morning. He is 6'2" tall, weighs 58 kgs and is very slim build. He has sandy/light brown hair and may be riding a white and purple bmx bike. Alex has an intellectual disability. Last seen in Pottsville on the northern NSW coast. Could be around the Gold Coast or Tweed Coast. He is a close family friend to me and my family. Anyone the lives around the Tweed Coast and Gold Coast please keep a eye out. If anyone has info please call QLD or NSW police depending on what state you see him in. If you already know something call police right now.
It is almost time for me to leave Syria and my soul has been set of thinking home. People said, "home is where the heart is." Problem is that I only spent a bout 2 weeks the most a year at home. The rest - abroad, working. Well...it's not complaining since this is the path that I have created , and I'm quite happy with it. But I can never run away from missing home... I guess that's life ha?

HERE IS Steve Fossett when he was getting ready to pilot the replica Vickers Vimy WW I Bomber from Bombardier Aerospace in Toronto, on June 1, 2005.
Steve, the millionaire American adventurer, two months later successfully repeated the historic transatlantic crossing in this replica Vimy. The trip took 18 hours and 15 minutes, and followed the same route which was first completed by Alcock and Brown in 1919.
Steve, the holder of over 100 land and air world records…including the first solo round-the-world non-stop balloon flight, which he followed up with the first nonstop around-the-world aircraft flight without refueling, flew a balloon at over 200 miles-per-hour, set the world speed record for a Zeppelin, and also set numerous glider (speed and distance) records.
And "just for laughs" he additionally swam the English Channel, ran the Ironman Triathlon, participated in a 1,165 mile dog sled race and climbed most of the tallest mountains in our world.
But on September 3, 2007 Steve went missing after taking off from the private Flying M Ranch airstrip in Nevada…to go out for a recreational flight .
No flightplan was filed by Mr. Fossett, and he hasn’t been heard from since.
The search for Steve continues…

Original binding. Fifteenth-century dark brown calf on wood boards embellished with cuir-ciselé leaf patterns; the design is executed by incised outline, against a ground with impressions of circular punches; two vertical undulating vines of trefoils and of large pointed leaves decorate the upper cover; the lower is filled by a single vine with large leaves; one clasp, now missing, was fastened onto a pin in the center of the upper cover.
This book of sermons in German and Latin was made in the second half of the fifteenth century. The parchment flyleaves, containing texts from Donatus' work on grammar, were written slightly earlier than the manuscript and used as pastedowns. The manuscript is exceptional for retaining its original binding of cuir-ciselé (chiseled leather) over wood boards. The binding is of a type current in the Austrian Tyrol at this period. Also a note on fol. 133v refers to Bernhard von Gottesgnaden (or von Rohr), archbishop of Salzburg from 1466 to 1481. These pieces of evidence locate the collection of sermons in Salzburg. Although the manuscript is lacking in miniatures or decorated initials, red ink is used for initials and rubrics marking the beginning of each sermon.

Until 1976 there was a Bettys (the missing apostrophe is not a mistake) tea room in Commercial Street, Leeds. When we lived in Gildersome, It was where my mother would take us as a treat after shopping.
At Bettys we would wait inside the doorway until the maître d’ showed us to a table where we would be attended to by a lady in smart black dress with a crisp white pinafore and cap to match. Bettys was a posh place to take your afternoon tea.
My mother would order a pot of tea for three, sandwiches and a silver stand laden with Kunzle cakes to choose from. We were only ever allowed one cake each but did get several cups of tea from the large teapot.
I always wanted to take Pamela to a Bettys tea room and had to wait until we visited York where there are two along with a Taylors (no apostrophe there either) of Harrogate. It was the first time she had encountered Yorkshire curd tart, another favourite from my afternoon teas at Bettys in Leeds.
When Laura and Dave told us they were going to York to stay overnight, we told them they should visit Bettys for afternoon tea and they did. Whilst they were there they picked up this tin of Bettys Tea Room blend as a Christmas present for Pamela.
Such a vivid reminder of my youth surely warrants a place in my Project 365.
