"MISSING: Demand the release of artist Ai Weiwei" at the Grand Army Plaza where Ai Weiwei's Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads are on exhibit (background, right).
An empty dock keeps a lonely vigil just inside the entrance to Squalicum Harbor. In the background... Lummi Island, Portage Island, Orcas Island, Gooseberry Point, and the moonlit waters of Bellingham Bay.
I hesitate posting this as it is not as sharp as I would like. I am finding that achieving sharpness is the most difficult aspect of night photography and am wondering if any of my contacts have any helpful hints. In the end, I decided that this image was more about the mood than the sharpness.
Part of the problem may have been that I was shooting from a floating dock, and no matter how calm it appears, there is some movement over a long exposure.
MISSING!!!
This is Alex. He attends Kingscliff High School. Alex has been missing since early Saturday morning. He is 6'2" tall, weighs 58 kgs and is very slim build. He has sandy/light brown hair and may be riding a white and purple bmx bike. Alex has an intellectual disability. Last seen in Pottsville on the northern NSW coast. Could be around the Gold Coast or Tweed Coast. He is a close family friend to me and my family. Anyone the lives around the Tweed Coast and Gold Coast please keep a eye out. If anyone has info please call QLD or NSW police depending on what state you see him in. If you already know something call police right now.
This fine view of meldehunde and their handler is missing in action. It is never going to be found. The German dealer sent it registered mail so it is not a problem with the dealer. The tracking trail ends in New York which is where the problem begins. The registered mail that does not arrive always seems to disappear in New York.
Jimmy Dean, Link and Frank are at my friends house - this is the first time we have been apart. Well we have been apart for 12 to 18 hours before, but this time I won't see them for 4 1/2 days. They should have fun with my friends - they have a really big dog - they have played before. They know how to get away from him - under the coffee table.
This photo was from this morning - Frank wanting his chest rubbed.
I am bringing my laptop with me to Colorado - hopefully I can find some WiFi and keep active, if not - see you Sunday.
The "Fireman Joe" statue in Middletown, New York is out for a makeover. The zinc statue, last seen here in an August 2022 photo, was taken down in June 2023 and is to be recast in bronze. The hope is to have the new statue in place by the date of the Middletown Fire Parade in early fall. Here's the statue from a similar vantage point in 2017.
Women's Liberation is exactly like what the girl does here. Written by a finger, on the seashore, only to be washed away by waves of men who want nothing more out of women than sex slaves. If it weren't for the sex women would have been wiped off the face of earth 100's of years back. Thank goodness we have to sexually reproduce and we are not like Aphids
Religion, Politics, Society, none of them as far as i can see were/are for women. It's a man's world and no wonder its not going anywhere. Right from the books that talks of eve eating the apple and creating original sin to sita having to bathe in fire to prove herself, women were nothing more than mere toys in the history of human kind from a mans perspective.
So i decided i will dedicate this picture to the 50 Million missing in india. On that note you may wanna check out the "50 Milllion Missing" group. I'm a big fan of this group, look into it and you will know why, its obvious. Read the threads and be enlightened.
This was what exactly came to my mind when she wrote her name and it was washed away. She would come down again and again and it would be washed away. Like every womans effort that seems to be a never ending battle. The only thing though that made me smile when framing this scene is the two in the background making out at the beach, lost in themselves.
Canon EOS 400D with the Tamron EF 70-300 F/4 - 5.6 Ultrazoom. Aperture Priority, F/5.6 at 1/125th of a Second.
My new RZ67 kit, which is missing a rather crucial component.
I have chosen an RB67 lens for the normal FOV as I wanted one purely mechanical lens. I intend to get a 50 ULD or 65 ML/A and the 210mm APO to go alongside the 127. Everything else will be handled by 645 or 35mm as 6x7 kit is too big and heavy to carry lots of FL's.
i left the poor sign alone in the woods.. hope someone finds it (:
Because I'm missing, can you find me?
I can't afford a big reward, but I'm reliable
I'll never go
If you find me, find me, find me, find me
Rafael was completed on day 6. The missing piece has since unexpectedly turned up. It was stuck under one of the boards I use for my pieces. Most embarrassing! My apologies, Fabrice! A full picture will be uploaded tomorrow.
Not an easy puzzle.
Taken by my son, Andy.

Missing 1 piece. I don't know if I'm being careless or just having bad luck. Second BIG puzzle in a row with a missing piece. Total time, 33hrs 11min, or 40sec/piece.
It’s been a while since I last saw you, being apart felt bad, not knowing how to get to you felt even worse. Ever since I looked for you, hoping I would find you one day, and I did =). Filled with sadness, I looked up into the skies; a glare of brightness caught my eye, as I saw you up there, so calm, so quite while you stared down at me and smiled, I LovE u.

We went to a local park today, where a number of trees were "dedicated" to loved ones who had passed away. This tree was also decorated with these lovely ornaments with thoughts about how much their grandmother was missed.
It's been six months since we lost our yellow lab Tiffany. She brought so much joy into our lives. Tiffany is sorely missed by all who knew her.
