There are no poppies blooming yet this year where I live, but here's one from last Spring for this week's Monochrome Bokeh Thursday.
HMBT!
What a difference a day makes. Last week I posted a picture from nearly the same location (Ox Bow Bend) taken on a day when rain was in the offing. It was a big moody picture. The next day however, the sun was shining brightly with only a few high clouds in the sky, and the Snake River was as quiet and smooth as polished Opal. Whatever your preference, it is hard to dispute the natural beauty of this autumn setting.

A lone cormorant indulges in a little meditation as the other water birds prepare for another night on the lake. I took this at Wyndley Pool in Sutton Park, on Christmas Day, at the end of our walk with Zak. I do hope you like it, together with the music I've chosen to accompany my photograph.

Processed using Topaz Impression 2, one texture of my own and the moon from Lenabem-Anna.
Thank you Anna !

Depuis plusieurs jours il en passe souvent, parfois vers l'ouest d'autre comme aujourd'hui vers l'est, je pense que la remontée vers le les pays nordiques est commencée.
Bon week-end à toutes et à tous.
Several clouds were growing while I was shooting the Bryce Canyon at sunset, why not mount the Zoom and do some shoots on the far distance? The small mesa on the horizon under the pink clouds was absolutely interesting and mysterious. Who knows its name?
Probably one of the most recognised and most photographed castles in Scotland and when you see it up close you can understand why. I wanted my photograph to do justice to the splendid scene, but was literly attacked by swarms of midges as soon as I stepped out of the car. This exposure was 374 seconds of midge-hell so I do hope you like it as I suffered for it!!!
