One of those shots where if I managed to take two steps to the left the composition would have been perfect, unfortunately I was standing right of the edge of the loch as it was. I think it looks good in black and white to emphasise the mist and contrast with the trees in the distance.
Thank you very much for your visits, favs and nice comments. I appreciate them very much. All the best to you 💕

Located in Brazil, Mato Grosso do Sul state, there is an enchanting river called Rio da Prata (something like silver river in english), which is surrounded by amazing farms and nature reserves in its entire extension.

'Het Speulderbos' is called ' the forest of the dancing trees'. The forest is not just mysterious, it is also very rare. It's a paradise for birds (of prey), deer, badgers and wild boars.
Color Efex's Black and white Solarizarion + light toning
The original image was taken in the afternoon. The buildings in the background were blurry (on purpose, I was aware that the train was moving), and the background was dark red with greenish areas. Rails were brown and fuzzy.
My first attempt was to turn it to black and white. Rails were nicer but building were quite white and blurry.
I accidentally applied Solarization to the color image and the result was quite nice. It looks very dramatic, like Film Noir. Solarization provides a much nicer mysterious background and floods rails and seat with light.
Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.
Top of Cissbury Ring in West Sussex - not a bad place to enjoy 360º views of the surrounding fields, feeling the warmth of the setting sun 😊
I do not know how it ended. But chances are, that the cat did get what the cat wanted.
Addendum (2021) I miss these moments, I know, this situation is going to be over, but nevertheless...

The tree was traditionally decorated with edibles such as apples, nuts, or other foods. In the 18th century, it began to be illuminated by candles which were ultimately replaced by Christmas lights after the advent of electrification. Today, there is a wide variety of traditional ornaments, such as garlands, baubles, tinsel, and candy canes. An angel or star might be placed at the top of the tree to represent the archangel Gabriel or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity.Edible items such as Gingerbread, Chocolate and other sweets are also popular, and are tied to or hung from the tree's branches with ribbons.
Our tree as you can see is covered with everything & anything, a real eclectic mix
I can take no credit for the final outcome other than getting the tree down from the loft & dressing the tree in lights in a very artist manner
As you can see on the picture in the first comment Cortez is very skinny, but the good news is he doesnot need insuline anymore since september 2016. And he still is doing well. Allthough he sleeps more, his appetite is good and he still can jump on the kitchen counter to see if their is some food left.
