Subway opened in 2001 and was renovated in 2009 and again in summer 2022; it was originally the Powder Puff Beauty Salon, which opened on October 1st, 1970 (originally located on Duke of Gloucester Street in Merchants Square). It became Tony's Hair Styling Salon in January 1976, Tressa Couture Salon in 1994, and Artistic Hair Designs in 1995, which closed in 2000.
