I was sixteen when I first heard Vox Humana. I didn’t know who Kenny Loggins was back then—not really. His name was familiar, sure, but his music hadn’t crossed my radar yet. That changed one afternoon, thanks to my older brother André. Later I learned who was behind it, like Nathan East on bass, David Sanborn on sax, Greg Phillinganes on synthesizers.

 

And the story doesn’t end there. Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a real gem: the Japanese release of George Howard’s version of 'Love Will Follow'—complete with the obi strip and insert. His take, played on soprano sax, transforms the song into something even more intimate.
