When date ballz were the new kale I made this recipe just by throwing things into a food processor until it was able to form perfect little bite size energy balls. I have yet to post it to the blog, but hereβs the recipe for them: π 1/2 # pitted medjool dates (about 6 cups) π 1/2 cup tahini π 2 T raw cacao powder
π 1 T chia seed + 1 T hemp seed + 1 T cacao nib π 1 T Maca powder *optional but so beneficial for you - can also replace with collagen or protein powder of your liking
π 1-2 tsp sea salt (start with 1 tsp and add if needed)
π 1 T unrefined coconut oil
- Toppings to roll them in: hemp seed, cacao nibs, finely shredded coconut, raw cacao powder, turmeric & shredded coconut - Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until it starts to form a nice dough round, you may need to pulse in batches depending on size of processor and how sticky your dates are. - Feel free to add more to your batter like goji berries if you are feelin spunky β¨
- Make 1 oz. ball rounds (dip your hands in coconut oil to make it easier to work with) then roll in your toppings and voila!
- PST... these babies hold up really well not refrigerated but store them cold if not planning on eating all of them right awayπ. Still one of my favorite pics by @marissaphillipsphoto .
