'12 Toyota Yaris 5-door

In the continuing saga of the great Charger Paintball Fiasco of 2012...

 

Here is rental #2 while Central Autobody went round 3 at buffing my Charger, this time at their Waukegan location and this time they also resprayed my rear bumper that was probably damaged during removal for the first paint shoot.

 

This was... well... it's exactly how Toyota advertises it: "It's a car!". There is nothing exciting about it. It's slow. It handles like crap. It has more cheap plastic inside than Joan Rivers' face; and if sentenced to drive one the rest of my life I'd probably off-myself on the spot. I despised this car so much that I drove the stall-prone Fiero as much as possible over the four days I was stuck with it (resorting to this when it rained).

 

Back to the Charger; well, it looked great at pickup, but just like after buff #2: when it rained (and I note that this time I made sure not to wash, detail, dust, or do anything to the paint that could be used against me), their total-clusterfuck workmanship came out. Long story short, it's so bad that another shop will be cleaning up their swirlmark-and-overspray-infested mess by probably respraying both rear quarter panels/roofline. I have better pics of the damage to upload, which I will get to soon (along with the rest of the pics to be dumped from my phone). It goes in to the new shop on Monday morning (and we get to see what rental #3 is). Just want this to end!

Done
