The Johnson site was best-known as Plant #1 for OMC Waukegan -- Plant #2 being infamous for dumping massive amounts of PCB's into the harbor, decades ago. The facility was taken over by Bombardier after OMC's 2000 bankruptcy until relocating to Wisconsin in 2012. The plant has since been demolished, save for the water tower.
