The Cold Shoulder 9534

Greeting me with a cold shoulder, a Red Shouldered Hawk flies off to find a less intimidating landscape. It only moves off a few hundred feet, but far enough that it doesn't feel at risk by my presence. Red Shouldered Hawks are typically found were forests and water are present. They are medium sized hawks with reddish barring over their chests, that extends over their shoulders. The birds of Southern Florida, like this one, are typically paler in color. They also have a translucent crescent at the wing tips that can help identify the bird at a distance. These hawks appear to be fairly common and widely dispersed in the Florida Everglades. They were the most common raptor that I saw there during my visit. #ILoveNature #ILoveWildlife #WildlifePhotography in #Florida #Nature in #America #USA #WildlifeConservation #RedShoulderedHawk #Canon #Bringit #DrDADBooks #Photography #Picoftheday #Photooftheday
