Did you know that Casanova was held prisoner in the Doges Palace of Venice for a year before he managed to escape?
I've discovered that painting architecture is not just out of my comfort zone - I really don't like doing it. Straight lines and perfect perspective are not my thang, and my muse let me know she was tired of it. After trying several different reference photos and simplifying, simplifying she finally let me do this one. I think mainly because the light was interesting. I'm sure the real building looks safer than the one in my painting, lol.
