Did you know two days before ducklings coordinate the time of their hatching by pipping — vocalizations that they can all hear?

This was frustrating because there was something on the paper, you can see the white streaks still left up top, and I kept trying to make it work anyway. Painted last month, I had intended to just toss it and then I saw the prompt and figured what the heck. It was meant to be shared.

I finally managed to paint the green heron that I photographed last week. #doodlewashMay2022 prompts: Crane. Yeah, I was all set to paint a crane, but then this Green Heron was sitting on my back yard fence and I decided to do it instead. I mean after all, Crane, Heron. Close enough for me.

Did you know that the big cats can either purr or roar, but not both? The largest cats, such as lions and tigers can roar due to a connection of cartilage, while smaller big cats, such as lynxes and ocelots can purr because of a tight connection of small bones.

We start a whole new month of prompts at Doodlewash. This month's is from Mary Roff, so you know they're fabulous. My primer isn't finished yet, but I only be posting them as they fit into the prompts.

I felt a bit clumsy with the watercolor brush, lol. I've become used to using the brush pens for the primer! I'll get over it soon enough.
