Passage - Shopping Mall
De Passage in The Hague (monument, Est. 1885) is the oldest existing shopping center in the Netherlands. Co-founded by the well-known Hagenaar Petrus Josephus de Sonnaville (1830-1925), one of the founders of the Kurhaus in Scheveningen.
The oldest part (the Spuistraat and Buitenhof arm) was built to a design by the architects Herman Wesstra Jr. and J.C. van Wijk, which was greatly simplified by the Belgian architect Henri Rieck. It is built according to an internationally oriented Neo-Renaissance style.
