Koi or more specifically Nishikigoi, literally "brocaded carp"), are colored varieties of the Amur carp (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor Koi ponds or water gardens. In Japan, the Koi is a symbol of luck, prosperity, and good fortune, and also of perseverance in the face of adversity.

Les Jardins d'Eau de Carsac - translated "The Water Gardens of Carsac", dedicated to the luxuriance of lotus, water lilies, exotic and tropical water lilies. The Three hectares of garden & lush vegetation includes a unique Aquatic labryrinth with a more than 500 meters long footbridge between aquatic flora and fauna. Also an arboretum whith frogs and dragonflies who will guide the visitors.
Take a rest at the Picnic area or visit the gift shop, nursery and aquatic garden center or enjoy feeding Japanese koi carp.
