Kanji is more then something to read - Markthal (Rotterdam/NL)

Kanji is more then something to read.

.

Elegant art of kanji - If you can't read it you can still enjoy the design. These characters are on a wall of an Asian restaurant at Markthal Rotterdam.

Chinese characters - logograms developed for the writing of Chinese. They have been adapted to write a number of other Asian languages. They remain a key component of the Japanese writing system where they are known as kanji. Chinese characters constitute the oldest continuously used system of writing in the world.
