Périgord culinairy discovery - Restaurant "Le Centenaire" (Vitrac/FR)

Périgord culinairy discovery. Excellent kitchen at Restaurant "Le Centenaire", locally produced ingredients and well prepared.

---

Restaurant "Le Centenaire" - a very nice restaurant with some indoor tables but also a pleasant terrace in the shade of some large trees. A very friendly waitress seduces you into culinary delights from her own kitchen. You see and then taste the local products that naturally determine the composition of the menu.

Details

Vitrac - a small town of about 900 inhabitants. In the heart of Black Périgord, part of the most popular sites in this region like Les Eyzies, Lascaux, Castelnaud Bergerac and Monpazier.

Located between Sarlat and Domme, two of the most beautiful villages in the region, Vitrac mainly consists of a castle surrounded by some very nice buildings. recently restored to the delight of visitors and its inhabitants.

Chateau de Montfort was often in conflicts especially during the Hundred Years War; with owners like Bernard Casnac, a bloodthirsty leader during the Albigensian Crusade, Simon de Montfort and Bernard Casnac. History tells a long story of destruction and reconstruction, weddings and betrayals. Today the castle is a privat property and unfortunately not open for visitors
