Original Wigwam Village Motel room desk
Desk from Wigwam Village Motel that I purchased on ebay in 2006. My guess is that it could be left from Wigwam Village #1 when it was torn down in the early 80s. Shipped to me on a Greyhound Bus!

" In the early 1990s. Ownership of the historic Wigwam Village #2 was sold. Prior to the sale. I was invited to tour the unique motel and had the opportunity to see a large number of lodge furnishings once used in the Wigwams but, at that time, were in a storage building on site. There were several of these combination desk-vanities which caught my attention as I had never before seen the use of formica on lodge furniture. I had forgotten the furniture until this morning when a friend from Cave City, KY offered me this desk. he informed me that he had just bought the contents of a storage building where he had found the desk. In truly excellent and original condition, the desk measures approximately 48" tall with mirror, 36" wide X 19" deep. The desk is constructed of hickory, The varnish is original. The mirror has a few little blemish spots where the reflective silver backing has worn off. The desk is sound, solid, and does not wobble. It is a sturdy piece of furniture."
