Pinus koraiensis 'Morris Blue' 22W50 K-Pine N5- (Morris Arboretum, PA 1980s) dwarf Korean Pine K-Pine, Size at 10 years: 6x3ft., silvery blue-green needles, USDA Hardiness Zone 3, Michigan Bloom Month -, In Garden Bed N5 for 32 MONTHS (Stanley). Planted in 2020.

 

American Conifer Society: Pinus koraiensis 'Morris Blue' is an upright, dwarf, tree-form of Korean pine with nice conical form, dense branching and long, silvery blue-green needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 6 feet (1.8 m) tall and 40 inches (1 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 6 to 8 inches.

 

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the late 1980s by the Morris Arboretum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 'Morris Blue' is one of eight selections made in 2020 for the popular ACS Collectors' Conifer of the Year program.
