Whether to Grandmother's house or alternative venue, enjoy a very happy Thanksgiving Day. And if you are not celebrating, the wishes extend to you for a good old Thursday just as well...;-)

HAVE A WILD (BUT SAFE) CHRISTMAS

I think this may be a Lodgepole Pine but.....

Quest'albero, chiamato "Lone Cypress" (cipresso solitario) si trova sulla 17-Mile Drive, una strada costiera panoramica in California. É il simbolo ufficiale del percorso, un punto strategico per ammirare un panorama mozzafiato.

The "Lone Cypress" tree is is the official landmark of the the 17-Mile Drive, a scenic coastline road in California. From this point you can enjoy a breathtaking view.

...kinda reminded me of a histogram. Besides a slight sharpening adjustment, border and name, this photo is untouched.

CHINA 張家界

Not the most exciting subject but for some reason I liked the results. When I took the photo I hadn't planned on posting it.

I took this with the Meyer-Optik Goerlitz Trioplan f2.8/100 lens with the lens wide open at f2.8.

Finally got to see the Lone Cypress in Pebble Beach which I have been anticipating. Too bad the sky just wanted to be completely blue. Maybe next time. Nor-Cal is got to be my favorite place to run around with a camera in hand. :-)

Flowers of the conifers (pine, spruce, fir, and other cone-bearing woody plants) are called strobili, which means small cones.

◾Still having the effects of the last winter here. Hopefully we'll have a real spring weather since this weekend! 🌞

Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is a forest park in the Scottish Highlands which extends from the eastern shores of Loch Lomond to the mountains of Strathyre. The park is part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and is a sparsely-populated region of mountains, hills, lochs and valleys. Most of the upland areas are bare and uncultivated, while much of the lowland is densely forested.
