It is an odd winter. The piles of snow we had ten days ago have disappeared under above zero temperatures and rain. This trend is uncommon in January in Ontario! The snow you see in this photo is now all gone!
For my Tennessee friends, these were your mountains around noon today....I braved the elements, without a coat to ride to the TN state line to capture this before the roads got slick.
Whether to Grandmother's house or alternative venue, enjoy a very happy Thanksgiving Day. And if you are not celebrating, the wishes extend to you for a good old Thursday just as well...;-)
Deze reuzensequoia vond ik in het arboretum in Eenrum. Deze tuin is het levenswerk van Notaris Smit uit Eenrum. In 1968 plante hij de eerste boom in een kaal weiland. Nu staan er 600 verschillende rododendrons en 400 uitheemse boomsoorten. Een wandeling meer dan waard.
