Chrysanthemum 'Wild Berry' WW41 Mum Y1- (Cushion Mum) Hardy Cushion Mum, Mature plant size: 24in., Rose Pink, USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW41, In Garden Bed Y1 for 5.3 YEARS (Bluestone). Planted in 2017.
Rose pink Cushion Mum. Low mounds. Advertised as a short 12 inch plant. Mine is ~24 inches tall. Cushion mums are a type of hardy mum or garden mum. The name comes from the way they form a mound or cushion of bloom.
2020 note: Vigorous plant. Quite hardy. Many of the so called hardy mums that I have planted here in Michigan do not make it over winter. This one has survived 3 winters. Not sure of the plants origin, but it seems as hardy as the old time Korean heirlooms. If it is an heirloom, the name would suggest a more recent "marketing" moniker. Bluestone Perennials is the only nursery that I am aware of that carries this plant.
