Dreams are free flowing...you only need to open your eyes and start making actions to turn them to a reality.
Chrysanthemum 'Wild Berry' 10/2021 Mum- () Hardy Cushion Mum, Mature size: 24”, Rose Pink, USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW41, In Garden Bed Y2,9,-1 for 4.3 YEARS (Bluestone). Planted in 2017.
Rose pink Cushion Mum. Low mounds. Advertised as a short 12 inch plant. Mine is ~24 inches tall. Cushion mums are a type of hardy mum or garden mum. The name comes from the way they form a mound or cushion of bloom.
2020 note: Vigorous plant. Quite hardy. Many of the so called hardy mums that I have planted here in Michigan do not make it over winter. This one has survived 3 winters. Not sure of the plants origin, but it seems as hardy as the old time Korean heirlooms. If it is an heirloom, the name would suggest a more recent "marketing" moniker. Bluestone Perennials is the only nursery that I am aware of that carries this plant.

Missouri Botanical Garden: Euonymus alatus, commonly called winged euonymus, burning bush, winged burning bush or winged spindle tree, is a dense, mounded, spreading, flat-topped, multi-stemmed shrub that is particularly noted for its fiery red fall foliage color. 'Compactus' is a popular burning bush cultivar. It is a deciduous shrub which is not all that "compact" since it typically grows in a mound to 10' tall with a slightly larger spread, though it can easily be kept shorter by pruning. The corky ridges are absent or very reduced in size on the stems of 'Compactus'. For a truly compact burning bush, see Euonymus alatus 'Rudy Haag' which typically grows from 3-5' tall.

Physostegia virginiana 'Vivid' WW41 Obedient Plant Y1- (obedient plant) Obedient Plant, Mature plant size: 1-2ft., lavender pink, tubular, two-lipped, snapdragon -like flowers , USDA Hardiness Zone 3, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW35, In Garden Bed Y1 for 14.3 YEARS (3.32). Planted in 2008.
Missouri Botanical Garden: Physostegia virginiana, commonly called obedient plant or false dragonhead, is a rhizomatous perennial that is native to North America from Quebec to Manitoba south to Florida and New Mexico.
Genus name comes from the Greek words physa meaning bladder and stege meaning covering in reference to the calyces which inflate as they develop.
Genus members are commonly called obedient plants because each individual flower will, upon being pushed in any one direction, temporarily remain in the new position as if it were hinged. Genus members are also commonly called false dragonhead because the flowers are suggestive of the flowers of dragonhead (Dracocephalum).
'Vivid' is a compact, erect, clump-forming but rhizomatous perennial which typically grows 1-2' tall on stiff, square stems and features dense spikes of rich pink, tubular, two-lipped, snapdragon-like flowers which bloom throughout the summer. Blooms from bottom to top on each spike. Narrow, lance-shaped, sharp-toothed leaves (to 4" long).
Very agressive plant. Planted in 2008. This one is shorter than most. I cull it back every spring.
