Thuja occidentalis 'Aurea Nana' [GOLDEN GLOBE] WW36 Arb E4- (Platycladus?) Oriental Arborvitae Arb Probably Thuja orientalis, Size at 10 years: 6x5ft., Dwarf Yellow, USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Michigan Bloom Month -, In Garden Bed E4 for 12.8 YEARS (Lowes,). Planted in 2009.

 

Thuja consists of five species of conifers. Occidentalis (Eastern Arborvitae), plicata (Western Redcedar), koraiensis (Korean Thuja), standishii (Japanese Thuja) & sutchuenensis (Sichuan Thuja). Thuja orientalis (Oriental Arborvitae) has been transferred to genus Platycladus. Planted this one in 2009. This might be Platycladus orientalis. Bottom trim. 6 feet tall & 5 feet wide after 9 years. Original tag common name was Golden Globe Arborvitae. Severe trim in 2022. Was getting to large for the garden.
