What is driving you?
Too often we don’t realize what drives us. This book talks about the different drives in our lives and that we tend to rely on external drive. Money, fame, awards, notoriety etc. the problem is this...when your drive comes from external sources, eventually.... you’re going to run out. That’s why though in some cases external drive works(temporarily), inevitably the strongest drive starts within; Intrinsic drive. Now you may ask..how do I get intrinsic drive?
Simple. Find what excites you. Find a career where you truly feel excited to be a part of and as cliche as it sounds, one you’d do whether you were paid for it or not. Example, nobody is paying me to play soccer right now. But that doesn’t prevent me from picking up a ball and going outside to train. Nobody is paying me to read a book, but I’ll pick up a book everyday because I love the process of learning. That, my friends, is internal drive. Nobody has to offer you anything.
