'The Mountaineer' at Crawford's

The Conway Scenic Railroad's 'Mountaineer' powered by Boston and Maine F7A's #4266 and #4268 runaround their train at Crawford's before making the decent down the Mountain Division back to North Conway.

In the 1940's and 50's, The Boston and Maine Railroad's 'Mountaineer' used to run out of Boston to Dover NH, before heading North on the Conway Branch to North Conway and eventually up the Maine Central's Mountain Division.

The history being preserved and recreated by the 470 Club and The Conway Scenic is a real treat for those of us who enjoy New England Railroad history, and they certainly hit the mark restoring these two EMD classics to operation.
