The 470 Club’s beautifully restored Boston and Maine F7A’s #4268 and #4266 pause for a moment in North Conway, while making some moves to get to the south end of their train. The weather didn’t clear up at all, and was cloudy all day. But the sharp paint and fresh coating of snow contrasted nicely against the dull, grey, sky. Totally worth it.

On my walk today at Creamer's Field this raven flew onto a snag and seemed ready for his close up.
The local Audubon group was required to change the rules for counting ravens during the Christmas bird count as we have something like 10 times as many ravens and the second place count circle. Even with the change in rules we're still on top. But not only numerous, but they are really big, about the size of a chicken.
