Stormy Sunset, Fakenham

Castle Geyser in Yellowstone National park.

This geyser erupts approximately every 14 hours.. very nice and not so crowded as other geysers in the area.

Also, the water can reach up to 75feet/24 meters.. here was about 60 feet high and the eruption lasted about 10 min..

These are growing in the complex where i live thanks to the keen gardeners.

Another lovely dunlin on the west coast of Scotland. Seen here in breeding plumage this dunlin was one of a small flock of eight frequenting our local beach.

A strange bird that one day would be very wary of me and the next would allow me to get close enough for a decent shot.

Many thanks to all those who take the time to comment on my photos. It is truly appreciated.

The 470 Club’s beautifully restored Boston and Maine F7A’s #4268 and #4266 pause for a moment in North Conway, while making some moves to get to the south end of their train. The weather didn’t clear up at all, and was cloudy all day. But the sharp paint and fresh coating of snow contrasted nicely against the dull, grey, sky. Totally worth it.

F7s 4266, 4268, and GP9 1741 have recently departed Fabyans and start their trek down the Mountain Division to North Conway. The train crosses Route 302 and passes an old shanty. This is the annual 470 Railroad Club Excursion on the Conway Scenic using the club's 3 former Boston and Maine engines.

Roma, Parco degli Acquedotti

it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parco_degli_Acquedotti

"Il nome deriva dalla presenza in elevato o sotterranea di sette acquedotti romani e papali che rifornivano l'antica Roma: Anio Vetus (sotterraneo), Marcia, Tepula, Iulia e Felice (sovrapposti), Claudia e Anio Novus (sovrapposti). Rappresenta il residuo di un tratto di campagna romana che originariamente si estendeva senza interruzioni tra Roma e i Colli Albani."
