Kanchanaburi

This Thai city and the surrounding province are where the River Kwai and the bridge most associated with the film Bridge Over The River Kwai are situated but the area has much more to offer. I certainly recommend at least a short stay here at Kanchanaburi to anyone visiting Thailand. This is not just for the river and bridge but also museums, the War Graves and much more plus some excellent restaurants and hotels priced for every pocket. For my family and me it is one of our favourite places in Thailand.
