The Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library houses approximately 79 pieces of contemporary art by 38 Canadian artists. The Library collection of 'Art Bank' works is probably one of the finest modern Canadian art collections in Vancouver, in British Columbia, and maybe even in Western Canada.

 

* A satchel is a bag, often with a strap. The strap is often worn so that it diagonally crosses the body. They are traditionally used for carrying books.
