GM&O F3A 807B, Woodcrest
This shot of GM&O 807B is indicative, sadly, of my collection of GM&O F units. This old beauty was sitting at Woodcrest back in February of 1976 with all kinds of junk around it. But, thankfully, I still took a picture. My lack of coverage of these F units wasn't due to lack of opportunity. I was raised and lived in ChicagoLand, but never went to see the "Plug." I went to college in Bloomington, IL and lived close to the yard. I used to go over there and watch the operations, especially at night when all the switch stand targets were lit up. I didn't have a camera so I never took a picture. And on it went, no excuses, no results. So, if ever they invent a wayback machine for railfans, you can guess what will be #1 or close to it, to see.
