How to Setup a Namecheap Domain on Bluehost Hosting Account

This is an overview on how to setup a Namecheap domain name on Bluehost Hosting Account. Check for Bluehost Discounts - ift.tt/2FeIToU * If you haven’t already, you’ll need to get accounts with both Namecheap and BlueHost. To get your Namecheap account, go to ift.tt/2k547yJ *. To get a BlueHost account, go to ift.tt/2FeIToU *. Once you’ve got your accounts, log into your BlueHost account and go to the cpanel. Scroll down until you see Dedicated IP, which is located on the left in the system section. Copy the IP address. In another browser tab, log into your Namecheap account. Go to the Dashboard and find the domain name you’d like to point to BlueHost. Hover over the house icon and click on Advanced DNS. In the Value field of the A Record, replace the contents with the IP address you copied from your BlueHost account. Click on the checkmark on the right to save. If your account doesn’t show an A Record, just click on Add New Record to create an A Record and paste in the IP address you copied from BlueHost. Go back to your BlueHost account. Scroll down to the domains section and click on Assign Domains. Select the option for “Use a domain that is not already associated with your account” and enter the domain name in the Domain field. It will verify that the domain is pointing to your BlueHost account. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on assign this domain. You have now set up your Namecheap domain name to point to a BlueHost hosting account. The next step would be to set up a content management system, like WordPress, for your new website.
