Observing
“Observing” is the first picture of my new series entitled “Silence” .
This was the first time I actually went shooting with all the camera gear down here. You know, step by step things are moving. Next couple of weeks I will be visiting some really interesting places so I hope I can came back with some delights to you.
First time I went to this place it was actually for a different reason: to introduce my daughter to the sea. And she loved it. But I couldn't stop looking at the lifeguard tower, specially with the weather getting heavier and heavier.
Next day, it was even better so I pick up my stuff and went straight where I wanted. Took some initial shots until I found an angle that was good. The picture is 130sec exposure. I did it on purpose, I wanted to push the filters and camera.
Post processing did take some time. After a couple of non satisfactory attempts, I decided to do something unusual to my work flow (test some Topaz labs filters) and it worked. After that, it was just a question of details, like the numbers, sharpening the tower and add some vignette to the image. I also pushed the highlights in the sea just a bit.
Hope you enjoy it.
