Tall Grass Damsel #2 - _TNY_9475
After cooling down in the water at my mom's summer house, I took the camera out in the tall grass while waiting for the others to finish, hoping to find a damsel or two.
And two I found. I had the MP-E65mm on the lens which can't do *less* magnification than 1:1 so I have to get within 101 mm (4") of the subject - so I did.
This is the second of the two, a male blue-tailed damselfly (Ischnura elegans), also known as the common bluetail.
I kind of like the look of this species over some of the other bluets. The mostly black tail and one blue segment at the end looks cool.
