Tall Grass Damsel #1 - _TNY_9474
After cooling down in the water at my mom's summer house, I took the camera out in the tall grass while waiting for the others to finish, hoping to find a damsel or two.
And two I found. I had the MP-E65mm on the lens which can't do *less* magnification than 1:1 so I have to get within 101 mm (4") of the subject - so I did.
This is the first of the two, a female common bluet (Enallagma cyathigerum), also known as the northern bluet.
The "bluet" part refers to the colour of the male while females like this is white or grey.
