i’m forever grateful to Pacey, our first dog, a rescue from pinnellas county animal services in Florida – for all her unconditional love the 16 years we had the privilege to spend with her. she will forever be in my heart. last November i had the opportunity to put closure a loss that has had my heart broken for 4 years.

 

if you look into the photo you will see me standing on the beach alone, still for 283 seconds, spreading her ashes at sunset…. returning her to the state she came from and relieving myself of the guilt i felt for not being with with her when she passed (we were in Florida on vacation). i know she did it to protect me.
