climb.

28/365: climb.

i was climbing around these boulders at Murrell Park and happened to squat down to find the perfect location for a photograph. this capture would not be easy as there appeared to be no way to get my tripod set in order to get a long exposure shot. then i thought to take the mono-pod leg off my ProMaster XC525 tripod, stick another tripod leg as far as i could into a small crack between two boulders and expand the last tripod leg all the way down to a lower set of rocks. … and BOOM – i had a level horizon!

the camera was just about all the way backed into another boulder and the only way for me to peer into the viewfinder was to go at it upside down and take a glimpse at the composition and set the focus. getting the right shot, takes time, patience and sometimes a little bit of mountaineering and yoga.

i’m thrilled with the outcome. enjoy.
