2011/01/06: Go high contrast today and make a photograph with tons of pop. Do as much in-camera as possible. #ds417

 

Still busy with traveling, and sporadic internet access for the next several days, so apologies first for what may be some subpar daily shots, and second for some delay in commenting on your shots and replying to comments.

 

Not the greatest shot for the assignment - not really especially high contrast, and not done in-camera. The prompt got me thinking about HDR and so that was the direction I went in.

 

This image was formed from three shots at different exposures, taken on a trail in Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, WI.

 

These are the software details (I deliberately went for a very "hdr" look, thought at least for my very first hdr it would be appropriate =):
