Eugene to the Coast

We left Eugene on a warm Thursday afternoon (after taking our time packing and enjoying Mexican food in town). Saw a snake of unknown type, sheep of the usual kind, cows of course, then camped in the woods (for free, as it always ought to be). The next day the view just got better and better. Smith River Road is essentially a glorified bike path (little to no traffic). Smith River Falls is delightful, and after one more night of camping (hidden under a tree in a park) we made it to Hwy 101 just across the bridge from Reedsport.
