I spent this week in Switzerland and on the way back home I had to visit one of my favourite places the Rheinfall von Schaffhausen. To me the place has a magical touch, something between locations out of a novel from Jules Vernes and Lord of the rings. Schaffhausen, Switzerland

The views from the top of Mount John are simply unbeatable for alpine landscapes, even during the day in summer. This panorama shows the blue waters of Lake Alexandrina on the left and Lake Tekapo on the right leading the eye toward the Aoraki / Mt Cook National Park.

Schloss Hohenschwangau diente als Sommerresidenz der königlichen Familie und war die Kinderstube von König Ludwig dem Zweiten von Bayern.
Hohenschwangau Castle is located across from Neuschwanstein Castle and was first mentioned in the 12th century.
Hohenschwangau Castle was the summer residence of the royal family and was the nursery of King Ludwig the Second of Bavaria.

It was only afterwards that I notice that though this side of the bridge is set in Autumn, the opposite side seems to be set in Winter. I really dont know as I got hopelessly lost there on that particular day. Maybe Im still there!!!! Id better check!!!! You know what? To hell with it, if I am I like it here and Im staying!

Do Have A Listen To This as its taken from a series called Atlantic Bridge Sessions which is very apt I think.
One of the privileges of my job is to see many interesting places in Europe and beyond. Unfortunately schedules are mainly very tight and there is no time to make use of the camera. This week I had a couple of appointments in Belgium in the Province of Oost Vlaanderen. A business partner showed me around in Gent, besides Bruges the second pearl of the area. I enjoyed a great time in this beautiful city.
Quite dull weather here in East-Westphalia today. Time to pick a picture of a nice Summer sunset around the Danish West Coast. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark
Wonderfully refreshing and a great landscape experience is a hike through the watercourse in the gorge of the Virgin River, especially on hot summer days.
