There were only a couple other campers here this late in the season. I understand how challenging it can be to break away from your pillow. I fight that battle as well. However, it is pretty special to have beautiful mornings like this to one self.

5 Meter bis zur Ostsee -
und manchmal steht das Wasser auch vor der Tür :-)
Viele der zum Teil reetgedeckten Fachwerk- und Holzhäuser stehen unter Denkmalschutz. Nach ein paar Flecken auf Sylt gilt der Graswarder heute als das teuerste aber auch infrastrukturschwächste Wohngebiet Schleswig-Holsteins.
Der Graswarder bildet zusammen mit dem westlich davor gelegenen Steinwarder eine langgestreckte Halbinsel mit einem 230 Hektar großen Naturschutzgebiet an der Küste von Heiligenhafen im Landkreis Ostholstein in Schleswig-Holstein. Die Nehrungshalbinsel mit ihren Sekundärhaken und Lagunen wächst ständig weiter, (Wikipedia)
Hinter dem See erheben sich bekannte und mächtige Hochgipfel wie Schwarzstein und Löffler, die sich mit ihren weißen Gletschern und grauen Felsen im blauen Wasser spiegeln.
Diese Aussicht auf die Zillertaler Gipfel haben wir uns wie folgt "erarbeitet":
Von Steinhaus (1050 m) mit der Umlaufbahn hinauf zur Kristallalm (1602 m), danach zu Fuß der M 33 folgend zuerst in nur leicht ansteigender Waldquerung zur Speckalm (1726 m) und auf Steig 33 größtenteils abseits des Güterweges über freie Hänge zum Teil im Zickzack (wer will, kann auch den längeren, aber bequemeren Fahrweg einschlagen) empor zum See; ab Bergstation gut 1:30 Std. Sonnenberg Gardens, also known as Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park, Canandaigua, New York, USA, at the North end of Canandaigua Lake, in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The house and gardens are open to the public every day, May through October.

Not sure it would have mattered at this waterfall since it's rather off the beaten track, but for me, mornings are the absolute best time to capture waterfalls, even if it means losing just a little sleep in the process.

Stumbling around in the dark and fidgeting in the chill waiting for the show to begin is such a wonderful way to start a day. Often fighting off one's pillow and getting out so early doesn't lead to a worthy shot, but the gamble and anticipation is more than worth the time dedicated. Plus a good nap later.....
