I decided to use selective colour on this shot of Zumba street dancers, as their outfits were so colourful.

I don't do much "documentary" style photography anymore mostly I am trying to figure out how to use my camera to create something that is hopefully artistic. This was taken at an outdoor Zumba party and my wife was attending. This was created zooming with my lens while taking a relatively long exposure.

during the pandemic zumba has surged dramatically in popularity in parks or any open spaces all over the metro. i chanced upon this group performing zumba at a historical vintage home in manila

Tenemos una sola palabra para designar dos actitudes opuestas: una, la que celebra el orden existente y defiende la quietud, la que festeja y confirma que el mundo está bien así como está y lo aprueba.
Otra, la risa rabiosa, furibunda, desatada, atrevida, la que sabe que todo, absolutamente todo alguna vez morirá, que el mundo está en movimiento y que, por ende, ningún poder será eterno, ningún poder será inmortal.
"Zumba la Risa" es la primera parte de un espectáculo en construcción. En él vamos tras la huella de la risa perdida.
No tenemos una respuesta acabada, pero sí algunas hipótesis de por qué desapareció.
Creemos que estamos en camino de hallarla, porque ella es parte de la memoria colectiva.
Alguna vez la encontraremos, porque la verdadera risa vive en cierto lugar de nuestro recuerdo.
Para eso hacemos este espectáculo: para buscarla juntos.
