the best sunrise this year.
I was lucky this morning. It's this winter totally normal that you come home with no colors at all on the sd card.

Europe, The Netherlands, Zuid Holland, Den Haag, Den Haag Centraal, Grotius 1 (slightly cut from B&T)
Behind the Den Haag terminus of the RandstadRail light rail connection (ZJA Zwarts & Jansma, 2016) is the Grotius 1 (MVRDV, 2022) high rise (height 120 m). The design was inspired by the appearance of voxels (3D pixels). These 'cubic' spaces form the roof terraces of the upper-floor apartments.
This is number 1584 of the Minimalism / explicit Graphism, 95 of Den Haag and 9 of the new MVDRV album.
During my visit in Rotterdam, I absolutely wanted go through the markthall, which is a giant building full of local markets, bars and restaurants. It's a very crowded place, I had to wait a while till I had nobody in my frame to grab this shot. Patience is a vertue.

After shooting this image i ran to the car to hide against rain and thunder.
The image looks like it's heavily edited but it's not. The sky was this dark at sunset.
Taken with a 4 stops GND filter.
Thanks everyone for visiting my stream :-)

The Salamander is a sawmill in the Dutch town of Leidschendam. The mill was built in 1777 as a replacement for a burned-out predecessor from the seventeenth century. It was in operation until 1953. The rotating movement of the mill is transferred to the saw section by means of drive belts, where awnings attached to the crankshaft (kind of connecting rods) set the two saw frames in motion. The Salamander has a crankshaft with four cranks, but only two of them are used. The two saw frames are coupled to this. From the end of the 19th century a steam engine was used to be able to saw even when there was no wind. This steam engine was fired with waste wood. [Wikipedia]
One of The Kinderdijk windmills from a group of 19 monumental windmills in the Alblasserwaard polder, in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. Most of the mills are part of the village of Kinderdijk in the municipality of Molenlanden, and one mill, De Blokker, is part of the municipality of Alblasserdam. Built in 1738 and 1740, to keep water out of the polder, it is the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands and one of the best-known Dutch tourist sites. The mills are listed as national monuments and the entire area is a protected village view since 1993. They have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997

Maassilo, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The first part of this former grain warehouse was designed in 1910 by J.P. Stok.
Expanded in 1930 by Brinkman & Van der Vlugt. In 1951 the silo was expanded once again by A.G. Postma and J.D. Postma. It could hold 90.000 tons of grain.
In 2003, the silo was decommisioned and converted into the Maassilo Event location.
