I know, this is a Liverpool photoblog but Manchester is connected via the M62. Its a tenuous link at best but a good excuse to post a zombie photo. Manchester had a walk to break the world record on Sunday. They didn’t but they tried well. A huge number of people turned out for it, a lot more than Liverpool. Its a sad thing to see that though. Why couldn’t Liverpool have even 100 people turn out? Why did Manchester have a few hundred? That said I did have more fun in Liverpool. They went into shops and because it was small you were close to the action. Manchester’s turned into a big line of people dressed as zombies walking the streets. This girl got very close, and at one point I was bitten, can’t be a good thing.

err, this is a typical Sunday in Manchester. Zombies eating brains and other stuff... I was crouching in the passing throng of Zombies when one of this lot nudged me I rolled onto my back and this happened. I was most amused, it's a strange feeling to have a dozen complete strangers do this! but at least I got an interesting shot out of it ;)

This is all to do with Zombie Aid which was an attempt to break the World Record for the most zombies staggering round a city centre. Unfortunately the missed the record (set in Nottingham last year) by 160 bodies... :( ... It was a good effort though!

Lightroom: desaturate all the colours apart from red and magenta, nudge the red hue to make it a bit more "blood red", sharpen, save to JPG

The more I look at this photo, the more I decide I like it...

Manchester's very own Day of the Dead... an attempt to beat the world record for the most amount of zombies for ZombieAid. Unfortunately the event was short by 160 people which was a pity, still a monstrous time was had by all.. :)

May as well start them on human flesh young...

All the speed of 28 Days Later zombie but equipped with a kazoo and playing the Benny Hill theme tune. Truly awesome.
