While driving to work I drove out of the suburbs into the countryside and discovered that there was a thick mist. I actually shouted out loud in my car YAY FOG! and stopped my car at the very first posibillity. When I got out of my car and grabbed my gear I noticed a big logg that workers probably have pulled from the drainage ditch. That was a perfect foreground subject for my shot. The clouds were all doing their thing and shortly after I had set up and taken some testshots the sun shortly peeked over a cloud to light up the sleepy world. (btw single capture)

Saw this Ducato at the Fiat Professional dealership last week. I couldn't find photos of the refreshed Ducato on Flickr, so I decided to capture it today.
In the summer of 2021, Fiat presented the refreshed Ducato. On the outside the changes are minor with a new grille with the new Fiat logo, but the dashboard has been completely revised. The French and German sister models did not benefit from the facelift.
The Fiat Ducato is produced in Mexico for the North American market as Ram ProMaster. Today, the 2023 Promaster was launched, which finally benefitted from the new Ducato front end that the European market already received in 2014...
The Mercedes S123 ambulance was based on the W123 estate version.
The W123-series was designed by Bruno Sacco and Friedrich Geiger and was presented in Jan. 1976. The T-Series W123 estate version was called S123 and was introduced in Sept. 1977, production followed 7 months later.

Shot opposite to a public farm in Zoeterwoude, The Netherlands. I used a neutral density graduated filter, and blended 7 different exposures in Photomatix. I decided not to use tone mapping, for a more natural look.
I don't *terribly* mind the light circles that peeked underneath the dark part of the filter, but still I would have preferred not to have them in the shot. Does anyone know how I could have avoided those?

Discovering the Houthavens and Danzigerkade North-West of the city center of Amstedam...
Location: At the head of the Danzigerkade in the Houthavens of Amsterdam.
Coordinates: 52°40'22" N 4°87'29" E
Reason: I made a bike ride this day of 40 kilometers in and around Amsterdam and discovered this part of the city. Houthavens and Danzigerkade and this beautiful building "Porcellis" standing like a huge ship at the head of the quai.
Porcellis: As an eye-catcher, Porcellis marks the extreme point of the Danzigerkade. The exterior of the office building refers to the cruise ships and sailing yachts sailing over the IJ. In terms of material use, white aluminum and glass predominate. The building slopes slightly over the water like the bow of a ship. The awning, which protrudes approximately seven meters in the direction of the water, enhances the sloping effect. The building stands out in height: at fifty meters, it is twice as high as the other buildings on the Danzigerkade. Thanks to this height, the offices and the roof terrace offer a spectacular view of Amsterdam and the port area.
PVH Europe's new headquarters are located in Amsterdam's Houthaven, a former port and business area in transformation. Vlietland: Vlietland, also called the Vlietlanden, is a recreational area in South Holland. It belongs to the northern territory of the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg, near Stompwijk and Voorschoten and lies between the Vliet and wedged the A4 highway. In the northeast of Leiden Oostvlietpolder forms the border.
The area is caused by sand and gravel extraction which was started in 1968 and ended in 2001. During 'desanding' arose a diverse environment and a special bird richness, which almost disappeared upon completion of the recreation area. A new haven for bird life to Vlietland is adjacent bird puddle Starrevaart.
Vlietland has a size of about 300 hectares with a length of 3 and a width of 1 km. The core consists of a fairly deep pond of about 130 hectares. The site consists of waterways, natural swimming pools, forests and wooded islands, marshes with reeds and bulrushes, car parks, marinas and restaurants. West of Vlietland are the Vogelplas Starrevaart and Leidschendammerhout. There are various leisure activities such as sailing, swimming, surfing and nudism. A pitstop at Zoeterwoude along the N206 when driving from Amsterdam to Zoetermeer...
Location: A Transferium along the N206 and A4 near Zoeterwoude. Parking is a shared parking of a roadside La Place restaurant.

Reason: Normally it takes about 45 minutes to drive the 55 kilometers from my house to Zoetermeer. Due to a fatal traffic accident on the A4 highway the highway was closed for hours and I was rerouted through the center of Leiden which was one huge traffic jam as well. It took me in total 1h30 so I decided to take a selfie to celebrate the shortest day of the year 2019.

This was shot shortly after it started snowing, in an area between Leiden and Zoeterwoude, The Netherlands. Most processing was done in Photoshop CS5 (levels, BW-conversion, sharpening). I cloned out some visible traffic on the A4 in the distance. I adjusted the exposure just a lttle bit in Lightroom.

Heel gewone trein op een mooie voorjaarsdag. Twee Sprinters zijn bij Zoeterwoude onderweg naar Leiden. Als over een paar jaar de afvoer van deze stellen nadert staan we ineens met z'n twintigen langs het spoor...

A sunset from the frozen canal next to the freeway. A dog abandoned this large stick and took off, probably because something else caught his/hers attention.
One of the first shots I took witm my new ND Hard grad filters, and I like 'em allready ;).
Reason why I took the shot; There are a couple of new big windmills at this location but the light was coming from the wrong angle. I turned around and there was the old windmill. Immediatly I was taken bij the blue shadows of the snow in the yellow-ish light of the sunset. After a little searching around I found a nice foreground subject and was surprised by the reflection I got from the stick catching the warm sunlight... I guess I got lucky...

The W123-series was designed by Bruno Sacco and Friedrich Geiger and was presented in Jan. 1976. The T-Series W123 estate version was called S123 and was introduced in Sept. 1977, production followed 7 months later.
