I think this picture is amazing. My sister took it. It's from the tollgate of the Zigzag [Sandy?] River of Mount Hood National Forest.

Zig Zag River on Mt Hood, Oregon

Greg crossing the Zigzag River, which isn't too bad this time of year. I wouldn't want to attempt this earlier in summer!

THE cutest picnic shelter I have EVER seen. And i'm a fan of picnic shelters....

That bridge was the old Mt. Hood Highway. The old Mt. Hood Highway was part of the original Oregon Trail.

on the snowy banks of the ZigZag River on the southeast side of Mt Hood, in the backyard of my friends' cabin. It was a beautiful morning on the mountain, I was soon to go back to the city.

I couldn't get the exposure right on the Zigzag River. The white parts were blown without getting the "flow" effect" so I decided to purposefully over expose the water, leaving only the rocks normal looking.

It wasn't so easy getting to the river's edge (a steep muddy slope then deep soft snow along the river banks) so I was determined to get something out of it.
