The Macro Mondays theme for May 30 is powder and I got into the spices- this is ground chili and lime seasoned salt. Who knew that salt would be that pebbly up close? Btb, this portion of the heart and seasoned salt is around an inch— size verification in a bit in the first comment box.
btb, if this is not deemed powdery enough- i'll go back to the drawing board.
Btb2, oddly the first ingredient in the list is citric acid— who knew! And the second ingredient was/is salt.

Oxalis debilis, the large-flowered pink-sorrel or pink woodsorrel, is a bulbous perennial plant and herb in the family Oxalidaceae. Its original distribution is South America but has become a very cosmopolitan species, occurring in all continents except Antarctica. It can be found in both temperate and tropical areas.
The flowers, leaves and roots are edible. There is concern that the plant should only be consumed in small amounts because it contains oxalic acid that can cause calcium deficiency if eaten in larger amounts. Studies show that this is an exaggerated fear. The leaves have what is considered a zesty lemony flavor. (Wikipedia)

I shot this in a parking lot of an apple orchard...it was definitely the apple of my eye!
Volvo and sportiness didn’t exactly go hand in hand 50 years ago, although one car with nippy ambitions stood out from the Swedish carmaker’s lineup. That car was the P1800, which came to change Volvo’s fortunes in the sports car arena after the resoundingly unsuccessful, fiberglass-bodied P1900. Volvo churned out 39,414 P1800s between 1961 and 1972, in three derivatives: P1800 S, 1800 S - S stood for Sverige or Sweden, and 1800 E - E stood for einspritzung, which means fuel injection in German.

For the P1800’s exterior styling, Volvo went to Pelle Petterson, who was a sailor and yacht designer. He was also the son of Helmer Petterson, the man in charge of Volvo’s PV444 back in the 1940s.
In designing the P1800, Pelle worked under the supervision of Pietro Frua, whose studio was at the time a subsidiary of Carrozzeria Ghia. Hence the zesty Italian vibe oozed by the P1800’s body panels, in serious contrast with the Swedish design approach. What’s more, the floor pan of the P1800 was, in fact, a shorter version of the Volvo 121/122S, so the car had a shorter wheelbase as a result (245 centimeters or 8.03 feet). Overall length came in at 440 centimeters (14.4 feet)
As Jay Leno once said, this car could have easily been a Ferrari. It was rare, it was cool, it had just the right visual appeal with those round headlights, long hood, swooping rear side fins and then it had the fame, courtesy of a prolonged appearance in the British hit television series The Saint.
In the last year of its career, the P1800 was also offered in three-door estate form (call it a shooting brake if you wish).
Volvo fitted the P1800 with a then brand-new 1.8-liter (1778 cc), four-cylinder gasoline engine. The initial power rating was 100 horsepower, but over the years, the unit saw it bumped to 108, 115, and 120 horsepower. Come 1968, the P1800 got a 2.0-liter (1986 cc), carbureted engine with 118 horsepower followed by a fuel-injected derivative in 1969 - but power only went up to 120 horsepower.
The gearbox range included three options: a four-speed manual, a four-speed manual with overdrive, or a 3-speed automatic. In the front, the P1800 sported hydraulic disc brakes, while the rear had drums. Later models got discs on all four corners.
I finally mastered this baby. May create more types of vehicles using this chassis, such as an self-propelled AA or an SPG. I also finally got my zesty brickarms order.

We picked the idea from somewhere of slicing citrus fruit, putting the wedges into the freezer, and when frozen, adding them to water to make a refreshing cold drink

No Brasil está presente em toda parte com o mesmo nome e é tida como erva daninha, uma espécie invasora que compete por água e luz com as demais plantas, mas pode indicar também um solo fértil… A autoridade científica da espécie é Kunth, tendo sido publicada em Nova Genera et Species Plantarum (quarto ed.) 5: 236. 1821. É uma planta comestível mas contém ácido oxálico e muitos temem que ele pode afetar a produção de cálcio no organismo, temor este, talvez, infundado. E ela se caracteriza pelas flores de cor rosa a lilás, bulbo escamoso, 0,4-2,1 cm larg., protegido por brácteas externas 3-nervadas, folíolo com incisão 1/5-2/5 com glândulas na face abaxial. Assemelha-se a Oxalis bipartita, a qual diferencia-se, principalmente, pelo bulbo mais estreito, 0,1-0,2 cm larg., e folíolo com incisão 3/5-4/5. (GRIGOLETTO, 2013).

De oorspronkelijke verspreiding in Zuid-Amerika, maar is een zeer kosmopolitische soort geworden, die op alle continenten behalve Antarctica voorkomt. De soort komt voor in zowel gematigde als tropische gebieden.
De bloemen, bladeren en wortels zijn eetbaar. Er is een bezorgdheid dat de plant alleen in kleine hoeveelheden moet worden geconsumeerd, omdat het oxaalzuur bevat dat calciumtekort kan veroorzaken als het in grotere hoeveelheden wordt gegeten. Studies tonen aan dat dit een overdreven angst is. De bladeren hebben wat wordt beschouwd als een pittige citroenachtige smaak.

أوكساليس ديبيليس، الوردي المزهرة الكبيرة أو woodsorrel الوردي، هو نبات دائم وعشب في عائلة Oxalidaceae. توزيعها الأصلي في أمريكا الجنوبية ولكن أصبح نوعا عالميا جدا، التي تحدث في جميع القارات باستثناء القارة القطبية الجنوبية. ويمكن العثور عليه في المناطق المعتدلة والاستوائية على حد سواء.
الزهور والأوراق والجذور صالحة للأكل. هناك قلق من أن النبات يجب أن تستهلك فقط بكميات صغيرة لأنه يحتوي على حمض الأوكسيليك التي يمكن أن تسبب نقص الكالسيوم إذا تؤكل بكميات أكبر. وتشير الدراسات إلى أن هذا خوف مبالغ فيه. الأوراق لديها ما يعتبر نكهة الليمون زستي.
