There was 1 September day that Papa worked 2 hard

First he crucified every dandelion out in the yard

Then he screamed at baby twice 4 throwin' rocks at passin' cars

Baby didn't listen, so like a priceless work of art

He got snatched by his Papa who then opened up the closet door

And pushed the four-year-old down, onto the closet floor

Baby cried "I'm sorry, I won't do it no more"

Papa said "Yeah, I know, that's what this here's 4"

Smack!

Ooh Papa...

Smack! Smack!

Ooh Papa...Papa...

Smack!

Ooh Papa...

Smack! Smack!

Ooh Papa...Papa...

I never really knew my father, he was a man of darkness and light, I do remember his anger and I remember his smiles. We were never together long.

A pimp of Zeon7's original image for the Pimp my Pixels Pro group.

"An angel passed by me. He flitted though the air as I lay dreaming beneath tall trees. His presence thrilled me, his passing left me morning. About me the air tumbles and and races. Something is coming, a time is drawing near, the very ether senses it and dances in ecstasy."

Sean Holyoak, Monday 31st of July 1995.

The above portrait of me and words where created at almost the same time, by someone who will always be very special to me. As I slept he wrote, above is an extract from his writing at that time and we had one of the happiest day of my life.

Sadly Sean died in October of 2008 but he will all ways be with me and is missed by all that knew him.I did create a little set dedicated to him which can be found here .

Tuesday 19th 2010 would have been his 37th birthday.

He was talented writer, artist and photographer, and one of the a warmest and most caring people I have ever known. A very late diagnosed Aspergic who had never learned how cope in such a savage world.

Thanks to Rob of the bottom pic and a good friend. I got to meet somone who made me laugh an awful lot from her performances though my younger years. Today she did the same thing in real life.

The fun, bubbly and warm hearted persona that I knew from screen seems to be the real lady her self.. :D

To find out more about her if you don't know who this is here.

Just me messing with the corridor to mums flat.

This is the Morning Frost mentioned.

Stares back at my grieving frame

To cast my shadow by the holy sun

My spirit moans with a sacred pain

And it's quiet now

The universe is standing still

On Friday I went to the Clement McGough & Sons funeral directors to pick up the ashes of my friend Humblehope, so I could take them down to his mothers in London that night.

They have a very calm and welcoming waiting room and since I'm unlikely to ever do something quite like this again I thought I document the mood there.

Humblehope spodding on various online worlds between bits of PHP and mySQL.

There were four of these I found this evening I wanted a nice shiny one this was the best I got.

This is a slightly higher resolution upload of this for the purposes of the Flickr Turns 4 Group

Happy Birthday Flickr

After playing with two of Clive Sax's amazing texture images over the last set of portraits, I was inspired to go back and re look at this image.

Both the textures i have been using are included in this and are available on Clive's stream here and here.

No work today so I went and played on the train tracks this morning while waiting for the post office to open.

I've been very hairy since about the age of 14, more has grown since then but I was pretty much like this from the back before the age of 15. It used to make me feel quite alien back then but not any more, I wouldn't do with out it, I have done twice since I was 20 but never again the itching when it grows back is like nothing on earth. It also keeps me nice and warm, on both occasions where all of it was removed I felt so cold.

Atom took the brilliant original self portrait that acted as the source for this image.

Done at the same time I did this earlier in the morning before washing my face.

Just reExperimenting with an old image from last year.

Some great warm light was streaming in the window when I woke up, I basked in that for a while which always makes me happy, I had a lot to do so thought I'd get pic done there and then while in that floaty happy mood and deal with editing later.

Thanks everyone how exciting this made explore because of all your positiveness.

Why do we

Crucify ourselves

Every day

I crucify myself

Nothing I do is good enough for you

Crucify myself

Every day

And my heart is sick of being in chains.

The corridor used here is from when I went down to see family at Christmas, I used it earlier in my stream here .

The main texture image used can be found here, feel free to have a play yourselves.

Jake and Elmo are seeing more and more of each other, and people are starting to talk. The truth is, though, that Jake is slightly infatuated but can't understand what Elmo is saying as Jake doesn't speak French and Elmo has no English. Meanwhile Elmo's eyes are fixed on a cute teddy being dragged along the grass by a toddler in the distance!

Jake and Elmo can also be seen on Zeon7's fantastic photostream here

Elmo has been living here for Six years but he's a messy little guy and never does the hoovering or washing he was tiring to explain to me why he shouldn't have to do it.

The mornings had been quite dull recently but there was a lovely warm glow today created by the first sunny morning skies in a while.

I started 365 last year with a beard shot so I thought I'd use that one as inspiration this year. I failed miserably last year, mainly though choosing to start the project at possibly one of the worst times in my life to start any project.

I lasted 21 days, this year I plan to go the full hog, a lot changed for me in 2008, so time for new beginnings.

It was cloudy out side but the sun was just starting to breakthough the edges after hiding most of yesturday.

Just me messing with my remote.

And I was there!

I'm sure you all saw the link on the front page for flickr's birthday celebrations asking for a picture to be submitted - well, I did and they used it!

Crazy, eh? You can view the whole set here, and many thanks to zeon7 for sending over the link.

[edit] here a slightly wider angle of that wall.

This doesn't have the sense of anticipation that I was hoping for so a reject.

A little more abstract then my usual pimp, but I like it.

It's been very cold all week, proper jumper weather. Dry most of the time but bitter cold wind, I like the fact you can do this with polor necks as it stops the wind getting in more.

Taken on a day trip to Cheddleton Station | Sat 27th June 2015

I was wanting to do somthing with the street scene I took for this shot for a while now, using just my own images no creative commons images.

This as been one of the most enjoyable images I've done in ages, don't worry I don't tend to start exploding very often, apart from in my dreams. In the end I lost the levitaion idea as it just wasn't working as I wanted, so I'll have to do a levitation shot another day.

To see the progression of this image you might want to have a look at these three images. I was originally going to use this overlayed on to a macho shot of my eye a bit like this , but I decided against that as I wanted to concerntrait on the main image, so I went back to the drawing board and worked up a much higher res background(viewable here ) and decided to use that as my space to play in.

Once I'd finalising roughly what I wanted in a almost monotone mock up , I set about doing the colour end version, and that brought me to here.

This is a backup image, after my brief experience with 365 last year I decided that this year I would always take at least two shots one my intended planed shot for the day the other a quick day light shot as a back up.

My main image I was going to do for today turned out way to lacking in focus, so I've postponed that particular idea for Tuesdays image now. This is one of the back up images for the day, in the light of the window.

The start of an idea for a future 365 self portrait, the idea itself will be heavely influenced by some of my flying dreams and this image by the brilliant Sarah Schloo.

Flickr Group Roulette - Pigtail Posse

I was having trouble looking tough on my own, so I recruited a couple members of the Pigtail Posse to back me up.

Special thanks to new recruits Heather and Stacy for helping me out. You guys are awesome.

Posse up!

Edit: Zeon7 did a pixel pimp on this image. Check it out here. :D

I've been tagged by both Matt and Clive now so I thought i better do something soon in response. Thanks guys its kinda odd in a good way seeing this stuff written down.

Done for the 16 Things group.

1: I was born on a tiny island in the South Atlantic called St Helena in April 1974, the same place Nepolian was exiled, to too die. It was discovered by Spanish navigator, João da Nova Castella on on May 21st, 1502, but he kept it a secret till 1588 when an English navigator found the island.

2: As a result of 1 I am a mixture of many different races the island was initially unpopulated by humans when found, with African and a Asian slaves in my genealogy, blended with a bit of Portuguese and English.

3: I remember first seeing snow in a book in ST Helena but didn't experience it until I was 5 in the UK. I didn't expect the coldness, just the fluffiness.

4: One of my most vivid early memories of coming to the UK was the amazement of a place were buildings went all the way to the horizon and some people couldn't walk to the see from home.

5: The first Musical Cassette I ever brought was the music to the Aristocats , I have always wanted to be a cat, and would hope that one day I could be like Manimal and transform at will into any animal.

6: The first record I ever brought was the 12" of Prince's Controversy .

7: I was brought up in this country from the age of 5 to 19 the son of a cook, in the ground floor servants quarters of this very large private house , in the Gloucestershire countryside where my mum worked & lived until she retired, It was a very privileged and magical place to live and have my childhood, I was essentially a poor working class lad but in a massive playground. I wouldn't change it if I could.

8: I have always loved maths, I think its the puzzle solver in me. I love puzzles also.

9: I learnt to program at the age of 8 on the only zx80 they had in my primary school it had a massive(at the time) 16k memory pack. I had broken my arm falling off a roof and wasn't out at playtime so I spent 2 weeks learning basic and then produced my first graphical demo from my own code, a face that wink or or the other eye, went happy or sad or frowned and unfrowned, or combination's of the above, depending on what key the user pressed. I used to program public domain demos in 6800 assembler for a demo coding crew from 15 to 18 on Atari ST's.

10: I used to work for a games company producing flash based interactive websites for playstaion games in the late 90s, anyone remember, Rollcage 1 or 2, Michael Owen’s World League Soccer ‘99 or UEFA Champions League Season 1999/2000.

11: I have always had battles with my weight by the age of 14 I was 14 stone, by 19 I was down to 10stone 13 my preferred weight, the heaviest I've ever been was 15 stone in the early 000's.

12: When I was 24 as a student I destroyed my birth certificate in the washing machine and have yet to get another one as a result have no passport and haven't been out of the country in 10 years.

13: I'm a late diagnosed dyslexic(28) who has always had problems and suspected something was a little different about my thinking from an early age, I spent most of the time from 8 to 10 thinking that everyone around me were either aliens or robots or I was, apart from my mum and a few members of family, that I never told as I wasn't sure even about them.

14: I have only loved 2 men in my life and the most recent who died last year and is still greatly missed, as my best friend and a soulmate more then anything. We had been partners in the past but I shared 16 years of my life with him as his friend and carer. From the day we met(when he temporarily moved in as he needed student digs) to the day he died, I live within his presence and it was an honor he was a very special man.

15: I can genuinely say that there are a few very special people right here on flickr that have really helped me transform from 2007 to now, and I thank them for it from the bottom of my heart I think you know who you are now. I wouldn't be the me I am, without them. A few I have met in real life others I look forward to meeting face to face.

I have used online worlds and textual Muds for over 18 years now as a method of finding friends around the world and some I have yet to meet IRL but have know and spoken to for that same period of time. So I understand the kinds of bonds and friendships that can be formed online the man mentioned above I met online 16 years ago, before the graphical internet was a mainstream thing.

16: I may be a gay man, but I don't think I can dance therefore I don't, well not in public just by myself on Sunday afternoons, sometimes. :D

I couldn't resist another D-Cap inspired Human Graffiti image.

In the bottom basement level of our building there is a launderette. I was just popping down earlier too see if any washers where free. It was in a rare state of unusual so thought since I had my camera with me I should take a pic.
