it's not the normal kind of cake you usually see with all the frosting, icing, and layering of ice cream inside or just cake in general.
i like those....
but this has to be one of my favorite kinds of cake. it has a layer of some sort of pastry somewhere in there. my fav. :]
and omgawd. i felt like i was in an oven driving home from school today.
it definitely feels like summer. ugh.
here's a reason i dislike summer...i feel icky when i go out.

Joined the group Paint the Moon - Let;s Do 52 to keep me focused on taking and uploading a pic a week. The theme this week is "Handmade", alternative theme is "Connected".
I have been struggling all week to find something suitable for this weeks theme. Apart from skinning the cow myself, this is all handmade. Lol. Come and tuck in.

Spinach Quiche -
Saute' some green onions in butter and add:
A small container of Ricotta cheese (low fat is fine)
3 eggs
a package of frozen spinach
a 1/2 cup of whipping cream
Season with S, P and a dash of nutmeg (or not)
(you can also dot the bottom of the pie shell with Dijon mustard before adding the filling.
Mix it all together over low heat and then add to a frozen deep dish pie shell
Top with swiss and cheddar cheese.
Bake at 325 for about 45 minutes and then let it sit out for about 10-15.
This is a staple I make year round. Last night we had it with some red pepper soup from TJ's.

Rotel
Doritos
Tostitos
Put chips on plate dump the rest on top of the chips and enjoy... Just cook your food before you attempt to mix it and eat it...
