Ici nous sommes dans la commune d'Honnelles en province du Hainaut , sur les traces d’Émile Verhaeren un poète Belge. Les balises sont un rectangle vert avec les inscriptions N2000 et il y a également l'espace muséal dédier à ce poète Pendant la balade qui fait 4 Km, vous pourrez retrouver 24 blocs de pierres sur lesquelles sont gravés des strophes des poésies de Monsieur Émile. le circuit des pierres passe par le chalet du garde et le caillou qui bique.

In the Footsteps of a Belgian Poet

Here we are in the town of Honnelles in the province of Hainaut, in the footsteps of Émile Verhaeren, a Belgian poet. The beacons are a green rectangle with the inscriptions N2000 and there is also a museum space dedicated to this poet. Le Château de Seneffe et son parc
Le château se trouve au centre d'un remarquable ensemble du XVIIIe siècle comprenant une orangerie, un théâtre néoclassique, une volière et des jardins, inscrits dans un parc de 22 ha. Ces jardins sont reconnus au patrimoine exceptionnel Parcs & Jardins en Wallonie.

Nous sommes donc aujourd'hui dans la commune d'Assesse en province de Namur.
le Donjon, relique des siècles passés. autrefois, la seigneurerie de Crupet dépendait de la principauté de Liège.
l'histoire complète de ce donjon vous intéresse, pousser la porte de l'Office du Tourisme de Crupet Cet office du tourisme est situé au centre du village, en face du parking et à coté des grottes de saint-Antoine de Padoue. il y a une multitude de balades, que ce soit en VTT, à Cheval ou à pieds.

Le Parc d'Enghien

Considéré comme l'un des plus Parc d'Europe au 12ème siècles et maintenant classé comme patrimoine majeur de Wallonie , Le parc d'Enghien est situé en province du Hainaut. C'est un domaine de 182 hectares qui a été créé entre 1630 et 1665 par la famille d'Arenberg. Cet endroit est parsemé d'étendue d'eau, de statues et de jardins divers.

Enghien Park

La Tombe du Loup

la promenade de la tombe du loup, Une jolie promenade à travers la forêt de Custinne, dans la commune de Houyet, en province de Namur.
celle-ci commence à l'église du village, L'église Sainte-Hélène à été construite en 1837.
La balise à suivre est le triangle jaune. pour la petite histoire. La légende de la tombe du loup raconte que le 15 Février 1845, c'est dans les bois de Custinne, à l'endroit marqué d'une pierre commémorative, que S. M. le Roi Léopold I abattit un énorme loup qui, semble-t-il, aurait été le dernier de la région.

The Grave of the Wolf

the walk to the tomb of the wolf, A pretty walk through the forest of Custinne, in the town of Houyet, in the province of Namur.
it begins at the village church, Sainte-Hélène church was built in 1837.
The beacon to follow is the yellow triangle. For the little story. The legend of the wolf's grave says that on February 15, 1845, it was in the woods of Custinne, at the place marked with a commemorative stone, that HM King Leopold I shot down a huge wolf which, it seems, he, would have been the last in the area.

Cimetière militaire du Commonwealth

Cimetière (inscrit au Patrimoine civil public de Wallonie) situé au sud de la ville sur un plateau boisé, où reposent 666 soldats et aviateurs du Commonwealth, dont un soldat d'origine belge âgé de 18 ans, ayant combattu sous l'uniforme de la 53ème Welsh Division (le long de la route Hotton-Menil).

Centre Géographique de Wallonie

Aujourd'hui, nous sommes à spontin dans la commune d'yvoir en province de Namur et
son château médiéval du XVII ème siècles.
Au départ du parc communale on commence la balade ! On a suivi la promenade 12 avec la balise rectangle rouge, qui nous conduit au centre géographique de la Wallonie.

Terril du Pétria et du Calvaire

On accède au terril du Pétria soit en suivant le GR 412 via la rue Cressonnière ou par l’entrée principale située Parking des Clous, route de Mons 302 à Fontaine l’Evêque.
Le terril du Pétria, a été constitué entre 1870 et 1958, date de l’arrêt du charbonnage. Culminant à 220 m. d’altitude et près de 16 hectares, il fut exploité dans le cadre de la récupération des schistes houillers et du charbon résiduel. Le terril comprend actuellement une zone centrale plus ou moins ouverte et une couronne plus boisée. On observe plusieurs plans d’eau, vestiges des anciens bassins à schlamms. Le site, classé Zone Natura 2000.
Avant la floraison , vous pourrez apercevoir son voisin le terril dit Calvaire (rue du calvaire), reconnaissable à sa forme aplanie.

Heap of Pétria and Calvaire

You can get to the Pétria slag heap either by following the GR 412 via rue Cressonnière or by the main entrance located at Parking des Clous, route de Mons 302 at Fontaine'Evêque.
The Pétria slag heap was built between 1870 and 1958, the date of the cessation of coal mining. Culminating at 220 m. altitude and nearly 16 hectares, it was exploited for the recovery of coal shale and residual coal. The slag heap currently includes a more or less open central area and a more wooded crown. There are several bodies of water, vestiges of the old slammed basins. The site, classified as a Natura 2000 Zone.
Before flowering, you will be able to see its neighbor the slag heap called Calvaire (rue du Calvaire), recognizable by its flattened shape.

Le Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des 3 Vallées

Au départ de Mariembourg Le Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des Trois Vallées ou CFV3V relie Treignes, en traversant les villages de Nismes, Olloy-sur-Viroin et Vierves, ce dernier faisant partie des « Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie ».
Durant ce voyage, vous pourrez admiré des paysages pittoresques de l'un des plus beaux réseaux ferroviaires d'Europe et par le parc naturel de Viroin-Hermeton que vous traverserez.
pour atteindre Treignes, terminus de ce trajet et faire la visite du Musée du Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des Trois Vallées où Vous y découvrirez d'anciennes locomotives à vapeur, autorails diesel et locomotives des années 50, voitures de voyageurs et matériel divers.

Le Rocher Bieley se situe à Elsenborn en Belgique, il ne peut être rejoint que par l’Allemagne. Ceci est dû au camp militaire qui n’est pas accessible au public. L’itinéraire vous emmène dans une réserve naturelle avec le célèbre rocher Bieley au milieu, surplombant la vallée du Perlenbach. Avec son altitude de 560m, il serait le plus haut rocher de Belgique.

Lors de la traversée de la frontière belgo-allemande pour atteindre le rocher, il est important de lire et de respecter les avertissements et instructions que vous donne les panneaux. Le passage est parfois fermé pour des raisons de sécurité (manœuvres militaires). Le Roche Bieley se situe dans une zone rouge du camp militaire d’Elsenborn.

Le Bois de la Paix (Bizory)

Entre le Mémorial du Mardasson et le village de Bizory se trouve le Bois de la Paix. Il a été réalisé dans le cadre de la commémoration du 50ème anniversaire de la Bataille des Ardennes. Sur une surface de trois hectares, plus de 4000 arbres ont été plantés, toutes des essences présentes sur le plateau de Bastogne.
Chose remarquable, ces arbres ont été plantés pour que du ciel on puisse voir apparaître le sigle de l'UNICEF. Ce bois est dédié aux combattants et civils belges et alliés qui se sont battus pour notre liberté. Le jour de l'inauguration officielle du Bois de la Paix (11 juin 1994), chaque vétéran américain était invité.
Les vétérans américains de la bataille des Ardennes étaient très émus à l'idée que leur nom allait figurer sur une plaquette au pied d'un arbre, au pied de « leur arbre », un arbre qui allait leur survivre et s'épanouir.
The Bois de la Paix (Bizory)

Between the Mardasson Memorial and the village of Bizory is the Bois de la Paix. It was produced as part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. Over an area of three hectares, more than 4000 trees have been planted, all species present on the Bastogne plateau.
Remarkably, these trees were planted so that the logo of UNICEF could appear from the sky. This wood is dedicated to Belgian and allied combatants and civilians who fought for our freedom. On the day of the official opening of the Bois de la Paix (June 11, 1994), every American veteran was invited.
The American veterans of the Battle of the Bulge were very moved at the idea that their name would appear on a plaque at the foot of a tree, at the foot of "their tree", a tree that would survive and flourish.

le parc de Jemappes vous surprendra par ses activités multiples et variées. Commencez par vous promener dans ce domaine dit du " Château Guillochain" et admirez sa roseraie et ses parterres de fleurs. Ici nous sommes dans la commune d'Honnelles en province du Hainaut , sur les traces d’Émile Verhaeren un poète Belge. Les balises sont un rectangle vert avec les inscriptions N2000 et il y a également l'espace muséal dédier à ce poète Pendant la balade qui fait 4 Km, vous pourrez retrouver 24 blocs de pierres sur lesquelles sont gravés des strophes des poésies de Monsieur Émile. le circuit des pierres passe par le chalet du garde et le caillou qui bique.

In the Footsteps of a Belgian Poet

Here we are in the town of Honnelles in the province of Hainaut, in the footsteps of Émile Verhaeren, a Belgian poet. The beacons are a green rectangle with the inscriptions N2000 and there is also a museum space dedicated to this poet. During the 4 km walk, you will be able to find 24 blocks of stone on which are engraved stanzas from the poems of Monsieur Émile. the circuit of stones passes by the chalet of the guards and the pebble which beaks.

une jolie chapelle œcuménique ainsi qu’une glacière, vestiges de la fin du 18e siècle, période à laquelle fut construit le domaine. artistiquement, profitez des belles journées pour découvrir chaque semaine les nouvelles créations d’artistes peintres qui viennent exposer leurs œuvres au parc.
le sport y occupe aussi une place de choix. Des courts de tennis et une piste de santé vous attendent.
En guise de rafraîchissement, une brasserie, la Roseraie, vous ouvre ses portes.
